RETURN AND REFUND POLICY

Gut-Scrapers – Returns and Refunds

1. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

In accordance with French and European distance selling legislation (articles L221-18 and following of the French Consumer Code), you have a 14-day period to exercise your right of withdrawal without having to justify reasons or pay penalties.

Starting point of the period: Date of product receipt

End of period: 14 calendar days after receipt

2. IMPORTANT EXCEPTION: UNSEALED PRODUCTS

⚠️ WARNING: In accordance with article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for:

“Audio or video recordings and computer software when they have been unsealed by the consumer after delivery.”

In plain language:

  • CD or vinyl still in cellophane (sealed) → Return possible ✅
  • CD or vinyl with opened cellophane → Return impossible ❌

This legal exception aims to protect copyright and prevent illegal copying of musical content.

3. HOW TO EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

3.1 Notification of your decision

You must clearly inform us of your decision to withdraw before returning the product.

Information to provide:

  • Your first and last name
  • Your email address
  • Order number
  • Product(s) concerned
  • Receipt date
  • Clear statement of your wish to withdraw

4. PRODUCT RETURN

4.1 Return period

Once your withdrawal decision is notified, you have 14 days to return the product to us.

14-day period from:

  • The date you sent your withdrawal notification
  • OR the date of product receipt (if early notification)

4.2 Product condition

The product must be returned:

  • In its original packaging
  • With intact sealed cellophane (not opened)
  • Complete: with all accessories, manuals, etc.
  • In perfect condition: without damage, scratches, or signs of use

Products not accepted:

  • Unsealed CDs or vinyl (opened cellophane)
  • Products damaged by the customer
  • Incomplete products

4.3 Return address

Products must be returned to the following address:

Important: We recommend using tracked and insured shipping. We are not responsible for packages lost or damaged during return shipping.

4.4 Return costs

Return costs are your responsibility.

We recommend using:

  • Tracked letter for CDs (approximately €4-6)
  • Parcel service for vinyl (approximately €7-10)

These costs will not be refunded (except in case of defective product or error on our part).

5. REFUND

5.1 Refund amount

We will refund the total amount paid, including:

  • Product price
  • Initial delivery costs (standard rate only)

NOT refunded:

  • Return costs (your responsibility)
  • Express delivery costs if you chose this option

5.2 Refund period

We will process the refund within a maximum of 14 days from:

  • Receipt of the returned product
  • OR receipt of proof of product shipment (if earlier)

5.3 Refund method

The refund will be made using the same payment method used for the initial order, unless you expressly agree to a different method.

Example: If you paid by credit card, the refund will be made to that same card.

Time for appearance in your bank account: 5 to 10 business days after refund (depending on your bank).

6. DEFECTIVE OR NON-CONFORMING PRODUCTS

6.1 Legal warranty of conformity

Independent of the right of withdrawal, all products benefit from the legal warranty of conformity (articles L217-4 and following of the French Consumer Code).

If the product has a conformity defect upon delivery, you may request:

  • Product repair
  • Product replacement
  • Price reduction
  • Sale cancellation with full refund

6.2 Product damaged during shipping

If you receive a damaged product (broken case, scratched vinyl, etc.):

  1. Immediately photograph the package and damaged product
  2. Contact us within 48h at guts.management@gmail.com
  3. Provide:
  • Order number
  • Photos of damage
  • Problem description

We will offer you:

  • Free replacement (shipping at our expense)
  • OR full refund including shipping costs

6.3 Product error

If you receive a product different from the one ordered:

  1. Do not open the packaging (keep cellophane intact)
  2. Contact us within 7 days
  3. We will arrange exchange or refund at our expense

7. SPECIAL CASES

7.1 Package not received

If you have not received your order within the expected timeframe:

  1. Check package tracking (number provided by email)
  2. Contact us at guts.management@gmail.com
  3. We will conduct a search with the carrier

If the package is definitively lost:

  • Full refund
  • OR free reshipping (your choice and subject to stock availability)

7.2 Package refusal

If you refuse the package upon delivery without valid reason:

  • Round-trip shipping costs will be deducted from the refund
  • The product must be intact to be accepted as a return

7.3 Package returned to seller (incorrect address, not picked up, etc.)

If the package is returned to us by the carrier:

  • You will be informed by email
  • You may request reshipping (shipping costs at your expense)
  • OR request a refund (after deduction of initial shipping costs)
